Moving Up

It finally happened. I got a permanent position! I now no longer have to worry about being renewed every summer, and as an added bonus, I got a raise! I was SO worried about this, I honestly didn't think they were going to choose me for the position. Not for lack of qualifications or anything, I already rocked this position (it's essentially the full time/permanent version of my original position)...but you know how company politics can go. I am absolutely thrilled to have been able to accept this new position.

I moved into the desk in my boss' office, it's nice having my own space that's a little bit quieter. I get along great with Lily, so it's fun to share an office. I'm just getting used to the new digs and getting myself organized. I'm still floating on a high from all of this last week. I seriously have had a goofy grin on my face most of the time. I cannot express how edifying it was to receive all the congratulatory emails and phone calls from my colleagues and coworkers...apparently a lot more people were rooting for me than I even realized!

HR kind of stole my boss' thunder though, they sent me an email right before she and her boss pulled me in to tell me about the unanimous decision to give me the position! It was still awesome though, I am so excited. I feel so renewed and re-energized. I had been waiting and going through interviews for quite some time, and was rather stressed about everything. It was like an instant weight was lifted from my shoulders. :)

I know I have been rather neglectful in posting, but I wanted to share this so much. As always, I will endeavor to post a bit more frequently, but no promises. Things are kind of in a whirlwind of work and wedding plans that are keeping me quite occupied. I hope the beginning of the school year is going well for everyone. I'm looking forward to the cooler fall weather and all the wonderful things that come with it.

All Stars

God is recruiting an all star team. That's what my friend said when I called to tell him that one of our student technicians passed away yesterday morning. He couldn't be more right, he couldn't have said it better. Our office is mostly shocked, I think. One of my friends is mad, very mad. I think she expected it more than the rest of us. I thought he was doing better. The good part is that he's no longer in pain, his brain is no longer bleeding, he is at peace. I for one, am still a little shocked. I didn't know him as well as I would have liked, but I always had fun when he was in the office, we had some great conversations.

Please keep Matt's family and friends in your prayers. This was a short, fast battle. He got sick around Christmas. His brain was bleeding, and they discovered he had cancer. Over the weekend he went back to the hospital and there was more bleeding. The doctors said the damage from the bleeding had been done and there really wasn't much they could do to stop it or prevent it from happening again. Like I said, fast. Shocking. Prayers are good.

Photostory Friday: Pumpkin Pie

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

The challenge:
3 guys. 3 8" pumpkin pies. 1 can of whipped cream. Full office of spectators.

The prize:
Came to $20.

The title: 2009 First Annual Inter-departmental Pumpkin Pie Eating Championship Contest

The progress:

The winner:

$20 at the price of a small stomach ache. He even ended his pie with a squirt of whipped cream straight into his mouth. Interestingly enough, all three guys were hungry a few hours later.

The inner happenings at an IT Help Desk when we have way too much pumpkin pie in the office.

Welcome to my world.

One of those days

It's been one of those days. The ones where it starts out and you seriously consider staying in bed, but then against your better judgment you decide to brave the chilly morning air and venture from the warm, inviting safety of your bed.

Class went well, even though I'm frustrated at not being able to process things well enough to be able to play even moderately fast on trombone. It's just practice, so I know I'll get it...but until then it's still incredibly frustrating.

Things were going fairly well until I got back to work and drove around for nearly 30 minutes looking for parking, watching the minutes tick by and slowly but surely add to keep me at work later and later. I finally came to my wits end and called the fiance to pick me up from the far reaches of the campus. Right after I parked it turned out I was able to use his boss' reserved space since he's not here and they had the temp pass for it. If only I hadn't already wasted 30 minutes of my time.

Clearly I wasn't off to a great start. Right before our potluck lunch I got a call from a professor about the bounceback emails he was receiving. I explained that due to a compromised user account we were unfortunately being blocked by multiple outside providers. (by the way, DO NOT give your username and password for anything out to anybody if they ask you for it in email. They will not shut off your account, send you money, delete your profile, etc etc because they are liars and trying to make my life miserable!) He then proceeded to keep me on the phone for at least 15 minutes going on and on about why this was bad and what were we doing and one account getting hundreds/thousands blocked just seems like a bad system (over which we have NO control...go talk to Barracuda and ever other IT security company and bitch at them for an hour), and that people didn't believe him and that it was "hard to believe". Frankly, I don't care if you believe it and I'm sick of talking to you. To make it worse he wasn't even yelling, he was just going on and on and on and on and on.

The only bright spot was the impromptu pie eating contest we had with three of the guys, complete with a rocking soundtrack (including Eye of the Tiger and some Jock Jams thrown in there) That was fun. But now I have to sit at work until nearly 7pm, with just enough time to go home and pack for the weekend and then go to bed. Oh how my bed is calling to me. I am SO ready for this week to be over. Trooper, I think I need some Friday Demotivation, stat.

Already Tuesday?

Wow. Good intentions aside I've really sucked at the posting thing lately. I was doing really well posting daily or so on my exercise blog...but then I took a couple days off...and, well, it's all downhill from there. Hopefully I will pick that back up today or tomorrow. My work schedule just switched back to 8 - 4:30, which is great for not being tired in the mornings and maybe getting my workout done in the am now. We shall see.

My lovely cousin Ariel graduated Sunday, it was really a lovely ceremony. The bf and I spent the night at her place on Saturday evening to make the early morning Sunday a little easier. I was really excited to be able to go to her graduation, I'm SO proud of her.

I'm loving the 4-day work week, even if it's throwing me off that it's Tuesday already instead of Monday. I'll figure it out by Friday. This weekend is dedicated to the Bazaar at the bf's parent's church. The bf's mom is pretty much running the entire thing, so the bf and I are volunteering to help out all weekend. The only time we won't be there is Saturday morning/early afternoon. We're hosting a wine tasting event for the Young Adult group up at our favorite winery. It should be lots of fun, I'm just finalizing details for all of that. I'm really looking forward to the day trip.

No Job Hunts Today

I sit here simultaneously cheering and breathing a HUGE sigh of relief. See, my position isn't "permanent", and I was only guaranteed funding until the end of June. My boss, her boss and her boss' boss have all been working to get me on permanent, but with the current budget situation it was still up in the air. While I do not have a permanent position yet, I am going to have a job for at least another year. I'm cleared through the end of June NEXT year, which gives them plenty of time to work on getting my position fully funded.

I hadn't talked about it too much. No point in stressing about it, it wouldn't do any good. The only thing I could do was pray and continue to give my job my 100%. It sucks having your fate in someone else's hands, but there wasn't much I could do. I was SO relieved when my boss and her boss brought me into the office to give me the good news. It's such a relief...and the wonderful things they said...it's so nice to feel appreciated, to feel like what I do is noticed. I can breathe a big sigh of relief now.

Wednesday Already?

Wow, Wednesday already and I haven't posted! Things have been slightly busy. We have this after-hours outsourced phone support team, and I'm working on a few training items for them. One was supposed to be for today but got postponed, the other thing I'm working on is for training with one of their managers when he comes out next week. All in all, very busy.

I went on the Young Adult retreat over the weekend, it was absolutely wonderful, definitely what I needed. The bf and I hosted a wine tasting night at this great little wine store for the Young Adult community last night. We had a smaller turn out than the last one, but it was much nicer we think (less crowds in the venue, more time to get to know the people who came) It was a great evening.

This afternoon I have a private conducting lesson with my professor, I'm SO excited. But I have to get through all this training documentation today before I get to go have fun. I'll try to get some pictures up in the next few days...there were tons of daffodils blooming up at the retreat site, and I got some cool shots last night at the wine tasting.

Happy Wednesday!

The Antidote

I've done it. I've found the antidote to stressful phone calls, frustrating users and general stupidity. One of our desktop techs had the link in his away status message on Google Talk this morning. I've been laughing for the past hour and a half. Non-stop. I sent it to the others in the office...we've been linking each other back and forth. The best part is that we could probably fill our own site with this stuff. Priceless. This is definitely the antidote to counteract everything.

Go, laugh, enjoy. http://notalwaysright.com/

Waay Cool

There was once a girl who worked very hard at her job. She was pretty good at what she did and she loved helping her customers resolve their technological issues.

One day, she was invited to come to the Waay Cool Wednesday meeting. She knew of these meetings, but have never been to one before. Though it seemed a little unusual, she smiled and went along.

At the meeting, the Big I (one of the managers) presented the Waay Cool Worker award. He talked about how the Waay Cool Worker was a team player, represented ITS in a positive manner and always goes above and beyond to help the customers. And then he announced that the Waay Cool worker was this girl. She was surprised as everyone clapped for her, the random questions from the Big I and her bf suddenly making sense. She walked up and got a beautiful bouquet of sweet smelling flowers from the Big I. She also got a certificate award and a gift card to her favorite Italian restaurant where she lived, the same place her bf took her to celebrate their first month together. It finished with a picture of the girl with her boss, her boss' boss, her boss' boss' boss and the CIO (who happens to be her boss' boss' boss' boss).

All in all it was a very good day. The girl felt extremely appreciated, humbled even, that her colleagues in all areas recognized her efforts. And now she has beautiful flowers sitting on her kitchen table, smiling at her as she walks in the door.

A Few Notes

Note to self: move finger BEFORE chopping. (I'm okay, promise. But let's say I've no doubt about the sharpness of my knives.)

...in other news...

I really shouldn't be blogging right now. I really should be washing dishes, prepping lunch for me and the bf for tomorrow (we've been taking weekly turns bringing lunches), and possibly finishing clearing off my kitchen table.

Another note to self: no more putting off balancing checking accounts...because eventually it's 4 months down the road of blowing it off and you get stuck with DAYS of playing catch up.

Partly because I get off work so darned late that I hardly have time to do anything when I get home. On the bright side, my boss just told me that I can go back to my original schedule of 7-3:30, which means I'll actually have time to do stuff after work before it's time to go to sleep. Except for Tuesdays and Thursdays when I have class. But still, off earlier 3 days a week is wonderful. Can't wait. Only I still have a ton to finish before I can go to bed tonight, and I've got to be up SO early tomorrow.

Only trouble with the new schedule is that I'll have to rearrange my morning walks. Did I mention I've been getting up early to walk? And the bf and I have been doing the strict phase 1 of South Beach. And I've lost about 6 pounds...and people have noticed. Multiple comments. Definitely makes it worth it.

And now I have inexplicable hiccups. The kind that are going to start hurting soon. The kind that I can never seem to get rid of. This should be fun...

Oh, ps, I'm behind in my Reader. Again. It's a thing. I'm working on it. Things are just so BUSY. I'll be around catching up. I know you've missed me :) ...Wow, do I need sleep or what? I'm not usually that cocky. Oh well, I've missed all of you.

Rush Week Overload

It's that time of year again. The time where girls in heels and too much makeup overrun the University Center where I work. Everywhere you turn there are more girls. Chatty girls. It's hard to hear over the din of their incessant chatter. To make matters worse, there is a lounge adjacent to our office. One of the sororities, usually Alpha Phi, takes over the lounge for a week and a half, but sometimes they switch it up. We had one day of Kappa, I think.

How do I know which one is in there? Because they sing. Loudly, in no discernible set key, without any semblance of pitch. They sing their own lyrics to songs like Ain't No Mountain High Enough, Under the Sea and Build Me Up, Buttercup. And they are not content to sing them just once or twice. But rather, they sing these songs like some sort of broken music player stuck on constant repeat. All. Day. Long. And when they're not singing, they're shouting incessant cheers, over and over and over. And to fill in the gaps, there is the never-ending din of chattery conversation as they schmooze and try to impress one another, sisters and recruits alike.

Now look, I have well-loved friends who are in sororities and fraternities, so no offense to them or any Greek readers I may have, but I have never understood this process or the allure of Greek life. It works for some people, I get that. But to me it just looks like a herd of girls, primping and preening to impress and older group who then decides your fate and which house you'll be placed in. And once you're in, your forced to pay rather pricey "dues" to be allowed into the club. All in all, not for me. (I'm venting here and not meaning to offend anyone who disagrees)

But on top of it all, they are SO LOUD and annoying! Add the off key, meager attempts to sing and it's like fingernails on the chalkboard to me. The way they uniformly as a group modulate in no recognizable manner between unrelated keys, falter between sharp and flat on any given pitch is physically painful to my ears. Our users can HEAR all the words when I am trying to assist them with computer issues. They're that loud. But only 2 more days, and they'll be gone again for another year.

Kitchen Fairy

I mentioned in my last post that the bf has to be to work somewhere around 4 am for a HUGE network upgrade that they're doing. Craaaaaazy stuff. Our Network Team and systems guys are going to be there SUPER early, and they're probably going to be there until noon. I asked the bf over dinner tonight if the management would be ordering them breakfast since they were going to be there so early. Imagine my surprise when he said no, probably just coffee and donuts. Now, I know that about 90% of our team who will be there are NOT married, and there is only one woman, but still, donuts and coffee for breakfast? For the group who will be physically replacing our entire campus network? HA!

So, after I sent the bf home early to try and get some sleep before he has to get up at an ungodly hour of the morning to go to work, I went to the store. Two stores actually. I was thinking at first that I'd just make the bf some homemade chai and take it over to him, but I know he won't drink the coffee or eat the donuts, and he tends to get short and cranky when he's hungry and has low blood sugar. But I'm friends with everyone who's going to be there, so I couldn't just take something for the bf, I'd feel bad (and probably get a really hard time about it) So I got a bunch of stuff for the guys. Bananas, oranges (cut into wedges in a bag), strawberries and a few yogurts. I was going to buy some muffins, but I don't have a Costco card, and buying muffins four in a thing gets to be somewhat pricey...so I got mixes (I wasn't feeling nice enough to make it from scratch) and made them a dozen blueberry muffins and a dozen chocolate chip muffins. I also got napkins, plates and spoons (which will work for the strawberries AND the yogurts) I also got a gallon of orange juice and some cups.

Of course the bf has no idea that I'm doing this, so I'm setting my alarm for just before 4 am. I'll drag myself out of bed to make him chai and then take everything over to campus. I know where he'll be (either his office or over by the cold room where they're doing the actual hardware changes) His truck is pretty unmistakable...and if I have trouble finding him, I can always call and feign a bad dream (yes I've done this...only for a real bad dream a few weeks ago that had me shaking and unable to fall back asleep for a while) I figure I can talk through the bad dream, ask him what he's up to/where he is. If he doesn't answer, chances are he's in the cold room...he doesn't have great signal in there.

Side random note: the cold room isn't really all that cold...at least I don't think so. A circuit breaker tripped in there several months ago and took down our entire network (minus res halls, thank goodness we didn't have cranky students). This was before the bf and I were dating, but we were talking when the network went down and he had to go to work, and I decided to take him and Lane (one of his two network co-workers...she's a sweetheart...older lady) drinks. Only I couldnt' find a place open that made chai for him, but I got Lane coffee and came over. I hung out for a few minutes with them, and then went upstairs to the other cold room with the pre-bf bf to see their other team member. Only our entire systems team was there working on stuff. And me? I was in my pajama pants and a tank top. So the joke is that our entire systems team has seen me in my pajamas...they made cracks about it being a pj party. It really was amusing. But the funniest thing is that I was in a tank top near midnight in the cold room and I was perfectly comfortable...and I looked around at our systems guys and they're all bundled in jackets and some of them even had on hats. It was rather amusing.

Wow...that was a long and random tangent. Anyways, I ought to get to sleep here since I too am going to be waking up in a few short hours. Of course it's by my own choice. And also? I get to come home and crawl back into bed. :)

Oh the Drama

It's time to play catch up with my blog reader once again. Things have gotten crazy busy in my world. (and let's be honest, there's a trick-or-treat game on the Fluff friends application on Facebook...I'm a sucker for those games...)

Things at work have been crazy too, I'm just hoping nothing has issues today. Monday morning was two of the largest mapped drives that had issues. LOTS of panicked phone calls. Seriously, our dependence on technology? Little intense. (I'm beyond guilty of it myself)

Monday late morning and into last night our email systems decided to have a bit of drama. It turns out that it had been brewing since Friday, but finally came to a head Monday. We have two main email systems, MP and Exchange. Here's the breakdown:

MP was talking to MP
Exchange was talking to Exchange
MP was talking to Exchange, but Exchange wasn't talking to MP
Exchange was talking to Gmail, but wouldn't listen when Gmail tried to reply.
MP wasn't talking to Gmail or Yahoo.
Yahoo wasn't talk to MP or Exchange.

And thus, it was decided that our email systems had hit their teenage years and were having some serious high school drama.

It's been a busy week so far. I'm hoping nothing breaks for the rest of the week.

After the Interview

I think it went well. The first round was with three of the business school people and the boss' boss. Round two was with the boss' boss and two of the desktop techs. (that one was more fun) Round three was with the boss' boss' boss. That was probably the least fun, but she was really nice and I already knew she liked me. Basically it's going to come down to which of the three of us the business school felt was the best fit. I'm not overly concerned about it. I was talking to the boss' boss (I promise to come up with better nicknames soon) after all of this, about how it went and all, and I mentioned that like she said, I won't going to be offended if the school of business doesn't select me. And happily, her response was something to the effect of, exactly, we have three positions open, you're gonna get a position, it just depends on which one. So things sound hopeful. I know the business school was ready to make a decision and that they were all meeting today. I figure I'll know tomorrow at the earliest, if not tomorrow, then probably Monday. But we shall see.

In the meantime, my cousin and I are chatting about Fairy Tea Rooms and our plans to visit them. And also our blossoming plans to start a traditional tea party and making period dresses like from Emma...our bf's are seriously laughing at us....(but only cause they think we're cute)

Interview Day

So I have an interview today. Did I mention that I'd applied for one of our open desktop tech positions? Yeah. I did the phone interview with my boss' boss (who would be my boss) last Thursday, and did the technical test that evening with The Manager. I know I did really well on the practical simulation, the written was okay. But from what I gather, most people don't usually get all of it 100% right. So that's good, right?

So. Interview. I meet with my boss, my boss' boss and several of the current desktop techs at 10:45 for a first interview. Then I meet with the three reps from the School of Business...the Business School desktop tech is the position I'm currently interviewing for. (there are three open positions...and from what I can tell from various little things, I'm fairly sure that the boss' boss really wants me for one of the positions) After that I meet with the boss' boss' boss. (yeah, confusing, I know...you should hear me explain it on the phone) But I'm not too worried about that...she really likes me. Everyone in my department really likes me...our CIO likes me (he invited me out to dinner with him and the bf the other day, but I had too much studying/practicing to do for my conducting class...he said we'd do it another time)

So, yeah. Interview. I'm excited and nervous. The bf and I went to Kohl's last night because I wanted to buy a long sleeved black button down top. I ended up with a long sleeved black button down top AND a pair of nice, dark gray pants. The bf paid for part of it, which was super sweet. Because even though the pants WERE on sale, they were still a good $50 and I wouldn't have bought them...and he knew it. I also opened a Kohl's account and got 30% off, which was nice. I have to go back and finish paying that off. They only take cash or checks to pay off accounts like that. I used the cash the bf gave me, and then will have to swing by later this week next time I'm down there.

So I've got a cute new outfit, I'm going to wear my black ballet flats. I'm excited, and slightly nervous. I'm going to have my benefits either way (they just switched me to benefits, I'm so excited!) And if I get a desktop position, I get a raise. So it's kind of win-win no matter what happens. I'll update again after the interview(s), but right now I've got to get to work.

Falling Behind

Rushing and racing and running in circles. Moving so fast I'm forgetting my purpose. Blur of the traffic is sending me spinning, getting nowhere. My head and my heart are colliding chaotic, pace of the world I just wish I could stop it. Try to appear like I've got it together I'm falling apart...
slow me down...
Sometimes I fear that I might disappear in the blur of fast forward I falter again. Forgetting to breathe, I need to sleep, I'm getting nowhere. All that I've missed I see in the reflection, passed me while I wasn't paying attention. Tired of rushing, racing and running I'm falling apart...

I often times feel that I am out of control, unable to keep up with life-the lyrics of one of my favorite Emmy Rossum songs seem to fit. I may not be falling apart (at least I don't think so) I definitely need to slow down. Things are chaotic right now, just really super busy. My list of things is growing faster than I can cross things off, it's like I'm trying to be on several different freeways all at once, going different speeds in multiple directions. (and not "easily" solvable like world problems in algebra)
I have so many things to say, but no time to say them, to formulate them into words. I need to get my life and my schedule under control. Work has gotten busy preparing for the new students moving in and the beginning of school. I'm trying to figure out if mono is the culprit for my inexplicable fatigue and tiredness, even when I get plenty of sleep. (apparently the virus will occasionally become active...but don't worry, no more swollen icky tonsils...supposedly) There are lots of little things that need my attention, piling up on me. There are people who want pieces of my time and attention, when really I wish I could have just a single day to turn off my phone and disappear from the world for a short time. (I'm actually trying to work on this) I'm much more balanced, but I feel like I've lost my center.
That being said, I'm going to follow the example of several wonderful bloggers I read, and take a short break. Not like I haven't already been taking one, I have posted in a while. I won't completely disappear, I'm still trying to get caught up in my reader. (I'm sure you may have noticed a slew of comments on a range of posts from me, or if you haven't, you will...I'm working my way through the reader) I just don't have it in me to hit "mark as read".
I'll be back soon enough though, I love my blog and can't stay away for too long. I just need to work on my writing. I do believe that it may have gotten a bit whiny as of late.
If you have a moment, please check out this blog, I found it through Sue at Navel Gazing At Its Finest. CJane has been keeping updates on the condition of her sister NieNie and her sister's husband Christian as they recover from a plane accident. The love and support of this family has been truly amazing to read about, and they can use all the prayers they can get. They also set up a donation link for those able and willing to donate to help ease the financial side of their recovery, which is estimated to be at least several months from what I gather. Thank you to Sue for bringing this to my attention. I hope you will all keep NieNie and Christian and their whole family in your prayers, if you are a praying sort of person.
I'll be back soon, consistently. And I'll have slowed down and regained control of my life. (as much as I ever can, right?)

Surprise Visit

It never fails to amaze me how one person can make you feel so happy, just by seeing them. How running into someone you haven't seen in a long, long time can just make the world seem so much brighter, even when it's already shiny to begin with. I went to get a glass of water and happened to look out the front glass doors, and who should be out there talking to one of our techs, but my old boss. Our old boss, because the tech she was talking to was a student lead here when I started back my sophomore year. Kay was absolutely wonderful, I was so sad when she decided to leave to go back to school. Kay was just a wonderful person and a great boss. She truly cared about all of us student employees, and she is just a genuinely nice person. It was wonderful to see her and talk for a few minutes. Turns out she's starting part time work in another office near mine, so I can go visit her sometimes just across the hall. I'm so excited.
I was having a good, if busy day before I saw her. But I just feel so much lighter and happier, shinier, since I got to see her. :) Some people just do that to me. I love running into people I really like who I haven't seen in a while. Always makes the day brighter.

California Girls

So clearly I have work to do when it comes to blogging. I can't manage to keep up with it. And it's not like I don't have the time, at least at work I do. Sure I answer the phones and troubleshoot and occasionally remote into computers to fix things, but the majority of my day is spent playing on the internet. I should blog early in the morning when things are quiet, before the day really gets into full swing. I really need to stop overthinking. Honestly, blogging would be a much better use of my time than playing random games on Facebook or some equally silly website. Since I am so overdue, and have some fun pictures to share, I've decided to do a couple posts to canvas the past few weeks since I last wrote. Life has been crazy, keeping me plenty busy-I swear I'm hardly ever home. I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning, waking up without an alarm and having a nice day to myself in my new apartment...first ever! Don't get me wrong, I've LOVED having visitors the past two weeks, but it is nice to have some uninterrupted quiet time all to yourself. I plan to work on my cousin's birthday present. I'm driving up with a couple friends for her birthday dinner tomorrow.
Speaking of my cousin, the last time I posted was just before her visit, which was AMAZING! We had SUCH a great weekend, we both really needed the relax time. The weekend was full of laughs and stories, gossiping and just being cousins. We hit the beach (and both got lovely pink sunburns), visited the Farmer's Market, flirted with firemen (oh yes, they overheard us from INSIDE the car as we drove by), shared wine, did our nails, and watched plenty of chick-flicky movies. It was sad when she had to leave, but the weekend was SO amazing.
The picture is of my feet. We took a walk to show her my wonderful little neighborhood, starting off with the little park about three blocks away. We both LOVE the swings, so, since there were no kids playing on them at the time, we took the opportunity to let our inner five-year-olds out and went for a swing. I love swinging, second only to horseback riding...neither of which I get to do very often. But my little brothers are coming to visit me at the beginning of May, I'm planning to take them to the park while they're here. Should be fun.
I'll add photo stats later, since I'm off work now and have to go run errands with the boy. Yes, there is a new boy...very new, but a long time coming. Haha, there will be more about him later.
