Remember back a few weeks ago when I was
gushing about
singing backup with Carole King? Well it's time! Tune into
Frosted Pink with a Twist on Sunday October 12 from 4 - 6 p.m. EST. It was an AMAZING show featuring our US Olympic Gymnasts, and other big names including Natasha Bedingfield, Kenny Loggins, and of course, Carole King. I'm singing backup with her during her first song of the show. I may or may not get a picture up of me, I really don't post people pictures so I'm still debating. But I'm in the back row, should be just to the right of middle as you're looking at the tv, I'm between two amazing friends with shorter, bob-ish hair cuts. (I have longish brown hair..it'll be gently curled in the show. I'll definitely be watching the broadcast, I'm excited to see it all together on television. It should be neat since I was backstage watching it from behind the scenes. I'm so excited!
In the meantime, the bf gets home tonight from a conference in New Orleans, and my parents and brothers are nearly here to visit. I'm so excited for this weekend! I'll be sure to post about it next week...and I'll also update on our perfect 6 month day out last Saturday (since the bf was gone Wednesday for the "real" date)

I'll be watching with interest. I can't wait! I hope I can pick you out. It will be fun to put a face with the one in my imagination, just to see how close I was or if my imagination got carried away and is way off. ;)

Mrs. D-We actually sang 'Girl Power', but I love that other song. And nope, I really don't know who she is. I've never really seen much SNL.
Gramma Ann-I hope you can too...I'm still trying to maybe post a picture...still hesitant...also need to find one that I like. We were going to watch it together, but we were at the zoo...so now I have to wait to get the recording from my boss. She recorded it on dvd.

SupercoolMom-It really was awesome. I don't have TiVo, but then, I don't have cable, so I guess TiVo would be a bit superfluous. (the few shows I watch I stream online...and I'm never home to watch tv/don't watch much tv anyways, so I didn't bother to get it and waste money.)

Cheryl-Thanks, I'm still debating on the picture. I may pull the video from the dvd from my boss and post it here, we'll see. I got to chat with the gymnasts and dancers, they were all really nice. Shawn Johnson is a sweetheart, all of them were really nice. Carol was wonderful, so incredibly wonderful. She absolutely loved us, and was so nice. It was such an honor to sing backup for her.
