Old Movies

I think I should start off this post with an apology for the incredible amounts of whining I've been doing this week. Suffice it to say, I do not handle being sick very well, and I don't have a very high pain tolerance unless it's in my mouth (weird, I know...orthodontia and such) So I was looking over my blog entries for the last few days, and thinking "geez, what a big baby". So, there will only be several lines of whine in this post, you can even skip over it...I'll try to keep it as factual as possible.

**************aforementioned lines of whine********************
I'm such a baby when I get sick, I try not to be, but I just don't enjoy it (not that I know anyone who DOES enjoy being sick, with perhaps the exception of a hypochondriac) Sickness just doesn't fit well with my generally cheerful disposition. What can I say, we clash.
I only made it to L's birthday dinner last night, because by the end of dinner my body was completely achy and I was shaky and we were pretty convinced I had a fever. But through it all, my amazing bf took care of me. He took me home last night and stayed until he was sure I was safely tucked into bed, and he brought me more ibuprofen and juice before going to work this morning when I still felt terrible. I am feeling better though, and ended up coming into work around 11:30 this morning. But honestly, what a sweet guy I have...he just keeps showing how perfect he is. My mom is glad he's watching out for me, and my grama told me I had to call her more when he's gone next week, because she doesn't worry about me quite so much when she knows he's around. How sweet is that? Seriously, no doubt in my mind that he's a keeper. :)
*****************end of the partial whine********************

Though to be honest, I did fairly well just being more factual and less whine, see? I'm feeling better. I was supposed to go to my cousin's this weekend, but I think I'm just going to take it easy and relax at home. I still need to make L's birthday gift since I didn't have a chance to do it this week what with heads exploding and such. I'm planning to go by the library and borrow some old movies. I know I definitely want to get A Philadelphia Story. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and go borrow it from your local library. It's got Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart and Katherine Hepburn. It's wonderful and funny, definitely one of my faves. My mom and I absolutely adore watching old Cary Grant movies. My other favorites are Charade with him and Audrey Hepburn, and Holiday, another one with him and Katherine Hepburn.

What are your favorite old movies? Any suggestions on things I should watch this weekend? Let me know, I'm not going to the library until tomorrow!

A Bronx Tale, it's not old like Cary Grant, but none the less one of my favorites.

"An Affair to Remember" I cry at the end everytime I watch it, even tho' I know it by heart, I've watched it so many times.

Glad you are feeling better...
