Sunday Smorgasbord - Sunburn Edition

-Note to self: get sunscreen to live in your car/purse so that when you take an impromptu visit to Sea World with the bf and his parents, your back does not fry while watching Clyde and Seymour and the dolphins. Then remember to apply said sunscreen. If you DO get a burn, keep shea butter lotion and noxema handy for the post burn relief and moisturization.

-Sent a gorgeous vase of tulips to my mom for Mother's Day. Only I didn't put two and two together that they were going to my cousin's dance recital and weren't home except for this morning. Luckily I talked to the florist and they'll deliver them to her tomorrow. I'm definitely a little disappointed.

-I conduct my movement of Swan Lake tomorrow with the orchestra...I'm a little nervous. I'm ready, but I'm nervous. I'll hopefully be one of the first ones up so that I don't have time to sit there and freak myself out.

-Tuesday is my conducting final. I'm so not ready for it with the two new excerpts I got assigned. I'm a little sad about this being the end of the semester, I've really enjoyed this class and learned a LOT from my professor.

-I finished Day 11 of the 30 Day Shred and am doing great. Just started Level Two today. I absolutely love it and am managing to be incredibly consistent. I started a new blog to track my progress. It's helping me stay on top of this, it definitely helped me not skip the workout the other day.

-Happy Mother's Day to all of the fabulous mothers out there. I think we definitely need more than just one day to celebrate how wonderful you are.

Slowly getting back into the habit of reading my favorite blogs after I was hijacked by Facebook (it's worse than a drug!) and so glad that I did! I'm going over to check out your 30 day shred blog because you aren't the first person I've heard that raves about it. Good luck with conducting! How exciting!!!

Momma Bean-Ah, the days of Facebook hijacking :) Welcome back! Glad to "see" you again ;)

Yaya-Thanks! It did go incredibly well. :)

Well, Jaina, I hope the Swan Lake conducting went well. I'm sure it did. When things we love come to an end, it's always a bit sad. But there will be other exciting things ahead.

Hugs!

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your sweet comment. I am sure that your mother loved her flowers and I hope that your Swan Lake conducting experience went well.

Have a wonderful day.

(How is your father's friend doing? He has been in my prayers.)

Scarlet-You're welcome, and thank you! My conducting did go well...and my mom FINALLY got her flowers yesterday and she loved them. (minor complications with the delivery...not really anyone's fault...I'll probably post about it)
I unfortunately do not have any new details about Dave. As far as I know he is still in a coma. Thank you for all of your prayers.

Oh wow, congrats on keeping up the shred so well!! I usually fall of the wagon way to easy, you're an inspiration!
We just returned home from Sea World, and yeah, definitely an easy place to burn.. hopefully no peeling!

Tabitha-I totally feel guilty now. I took today off. I wrote about it in the blog I started for this whole fitness thing...but it's my own fault. I aggravated my knee, so I decided it would be prudent to let it rest rather than make it worse. But I'll be back at it tomorrow.
Can't wait to see your Sea World pictures!! Luckily I don't think I'm going to peel...yay for tons of lotion. Have a great weekend!

Sue-Sea World is awesome. You could wear sunscreen...you can still get burned when it's cold..or so they say...
