A few months ago we were browsing through Costco and came across these awesome stamp sets. The bf bought me the holidays one as an early birthday gift. It's got stamps for everything, the really nice clear rubber stamps that you use with clear acrylic blocks. There was born the idea of making my own Christmas cards. I've been meaning to start them since October, but things just seemed to keep getting in the way, I would get them done later. Well, it's December, and I've got to get them done so I can put them in the mail. So far I've designed 5 different cards and am in the process of duplicating them. Believe me, the duplication part goes MUCH faster than the designing. I think I may design one more unique card, I haven't decided.
Since I am the girl with the camera and I haven't posted pictures in a LOOOOOONG time (I'm slacking, I know) I took some pictures of the completed cards so far. I may add one later, we'll see. So without further ado, here are the 5

You made those? With stamps? I am SO impressed. Have you thought about starting a business or selling on Etsy? People like me pay good money for cute paper goods.
Jen-Yeah, stamps and paper. You really like them? I do lots of crafting and stuff but hadn't really seriously considered Etsy. Do you think I could sell stuff like this?
I LOVE the cards! I think the snowman in the globe is my favorite!
Thanks April! It was the first one I made...and that snowman stamp is what inspired the whole card making endeavor.
Even through I don't celebrate holidays, your cards are very cute. And I think homemade cards are the nicest to receive, whether they be 'get well,' anniversary,' or just to say 'I've been thinking about you.' And the many more occasions when you send a card.
Have a nice rest of the week.
Gramma Ann-Thanks :) I love homemade cards. Just out of curiosity, why do you not celebrate holidays?
How Fun! Love them.
EatPlayLove-Thanks!
Jaina: Absolutely! I'll stand in line and be your first customer, especially if you branch out to other holidays and special events.
Jen-Thanks! I'll have to look into setting Etsy up. I'd offer to do cards for you this year, but I'm barely going to be getting my own done! What other kinds would you be interested in/like to see? I could definitely make some models and then produce them as requested.
Why, Jaina, your cards are so unique and lovely! You are very talented. People getting them will be so pleased to find out you made them. That is so special!
Hugs,
Renie
Renie-Thank you so much :) I'm having so much fun making them. It's time consuming, but I love it. :)
Good Morning Jaina,
Please stop by my blog: http://annsquotesandthings.blogspot.com/ for a well-deserved award. Thank you..
Wow, very professional looking. That they were made using stamps is very impressive!
Definitely a talent!
Milo-Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :)
Dude. THOSE ROCK!
MamaGeek-Thanks! :)
Those are beautiful! I've seen other homemade cards that aren't quite as nice... you have a real talent :-)
Those are purty! If I send you my address, can I get one?
Jeanne-Thank you so much :) I really appreciate it.
ConverseMama-Of course! Just send me an email with your address. Any preference on which one I send you?
Jaina: Birthday cards, get well soon, etc.
Jen-Gotcha, I'll have to work on this. I'll let you know when I get things done. Thanks for suggesting it! :)
I like the Santa/Tree ones best. You could make reusable gift bags, too.
NoMotherEarth-Thanks! I think those are my favorites too. I like the idea on reusable gift bags, I'll have to figure that out too :) Thanks for stopping by!
Your cards are very good! I think they will sell.
Carrie & Troy-Thanks! I hope they do :)
